Propose a Special Issue

Increase the impact and visibility of your research by guest editing a Special Issue for the Journal of Sustainability. Special Issues highlight timely, high-quality research and offer contributors greater exposure and networking opportunities, all within our rigorous peer-review framework.

We welcome proposals from researchers and practitioners in the field of sustainability. Each proposal should atleast include:

  • A Title, Summary (200–500 words), and Objective & Scope

  • 5–10 Keywords

  • A Proposed Submission Timeline (typically 6–12 months)

  • Names, Affiliations, Emails, and Headshots of all the Guest Editors

All Special Issues follow the same editorial and peer-review standards as regular issues. If you’re unfamiliar with our editorial workflow, you can consult the Editorial Workflow (JoS) document, and full guidance will be provided upon acceptance.

Who Can be a Guest Editor?

  • Expert on a particular theme with a wide network of potential authors and reviewers
  • An established history of research and publication within the research area of the proposed Special Issue
  • Willingness to contribute time and effort to ensure the quality of every article in the Special Issue
